- Introduction
On 11 December 2015, I had the privilege of participating as a guest speaker at the 7th Carol Evening organized by Kallyanpur Baptist Church (KBC), located at 2/1, Mirpur Road, Kallyanpur, Dhaka-1207, Bangladesh. A total of 140 people participated in the program. The event was organized to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to share the message of Christmas through worship, carol singing, fellowship, and the preaching of God’s Word.
- Purpose of the Program
The primary purpose of the 7th Carol Evening was to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and communicate the good news of God’s love, peace, hope, and salvation. The program also provided an opportunity for church members and guests to gather together in Christian fellowship and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.
- My Role as a Guest Speaker
As a guest speaker, I had the opportunity to preach the Word of God and share the biblical message of Christmas with the participants. My message focused on the significance of the birth of Jesus Christ, God’s love for humanity, and the hope of salvation through Him.
Through the preaching, I encouraged the participants to recognize Jesus Christ as the center of Christmas and to demonstrate Christian values such as love, peace, forgiveness, compassion, and unity in their daily lives. The message was intended to strengthen their faith and encourage them to live according to the teachings of Jesus Christ.
- Participation and Fellowship
A total of 140 people attended the 7th Carol Evening. The gathering provided an opportunity for participants to join in Christmas celebrations, worship God, sing carols, listen to the biblical message, and enjoy Christian fellowship.
The event contributed to spiritual encouragement and strengthened the sense of community among those who attended. It also served as an opportunity to share the message of Christ’s birth and its significance with the gathered audience.
- Significance and Outcomes
The 7th Carol Evening was a meaningful occasion for worship, fellowship, and the proclamation of the Gospel. The program reminded participants of the true meaning of Christmas and the importance of God’s love and salvation through Jesus Christ.
My participation as a guest speaker was a valuable opportunity to serve the church community through preaching and to contribute to the spiritual purpose of the Christmas celebration. The event encouraged reflection on Christian faith and the practical expression of Christ’s love in everyday life.
- Conclusion
I am grateful to Kallyanpur Baptist Church for providing me with the opportunity to serve as a guest speaker at the 7th Carol Evening on 11 December 2015. With 140 participants in attendance, the event provided a meaningful setting for Christmas celebration, biblical teaching, worship, and fellowship.
It was a privilege to share God’s Word and participate in this special occasion. I pray that the message of Christmas will continue to inspire the church community and all participants to grow in faith, love, peace, and service to others.
